To support our goals of providing a high-quality education to the children in our community, the Ministry Village Early Learning Center utilizes The Creative CurriculumⓇ. This complete curriculum uses a research-based approach and is fully aligned with Florida’s Birth to Four Year Old Standards. We add in Bible stories and daily devotionals to ensure that children have a solid, Christ-centered education.

The Creative CurriculumⓇ is divided into five categories that provide an overarching theme for each lesson plan: language, math, science, social/emotional and physical. It all starts with The Foundation. It contains the objectives and goals of a particular lesson and is supported by Daily Resources. The result is a comprehensive and cohesive curriculum that is easily individualized to meet each child's unique needs. Since children at this age learn by experience and doing, the children at the Early Learning Center will be able to act out their educational focus in play-based learning centers.

At the Ministry Village Early Learning Center, we want to create a connection with each family and encourage their involvement. Each week, every classroom will post a lesson plan that is age- and developmentally-appropriate. Each lesson plan reflects the interests, abilities and development level of the children.

By using The Creative CurriculumⓇ, learning goes far beyond reading, writing and math. Children who attend the Ministry Village Early Learning Center also learn how to manage their feelings, strengthen their bodies and communicate effectively, as well as many other lifelong skills that are designed to help them navigate the world in engaging and effective ways.

Embedded within The Creative CurriculumⓇ is a rich foundation in reading. Books are used as a springboard for learning and discussion, and are utilized several times each day. Even small transition times are used as opportunities to learn and reinforce skills and lessons in fun and engaging ways.

With age-appropriate activities geared to the developmental stage of each child, The Creative CurriculumⓇ offers interactive professional development for our teachers as well. This makes it easy for them to implement opportunities for learning into high-quality educational programs, and they learn how important they are to the success of each child.
