Who We Are, Our Mission & Curriculum at the Ministry Village Early Learning Center
Who We Are
The Ministry Village Early Learning Center opened in November 2018 after more than three years of planning and a $1.6 million investment.
Located on the campus of Olive Baptist Church near Davis Highway and Olive Road in Pensacola, the 9,500-square-foot center was built to modern codes with state-of-the-art security, fire safety systems, and impact-resistant glass.
The ELC features 11 age-specific classrooms. Infant and toddler rooms include in-room handwashing stations to support healthy routines, while the other classrooms have private bathrooms with child-size toilets and sinks to encourage independence.
We are licensed by the Florida Department of Children and Families (License #C01ES0341), an approved provider for Florida’s free Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) program, and accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI #648587). Oversight is provided by the Ministry Village at Olive Board of Directors and Executive Director to ensure the highest standards of care and education.
Our Mission Statement
We are dedicated to delivering high-quality, Christ-centered care to the children of our community.
We strive to equip the youngest generation with the foundational skills they need to grow and thrive — educationally, emotionally, and spiritually. With open arms, we welcome every family, creating a place where each child and caregiver feels truly loved, supported, and valued.
Our Curriculum
At the Ministry Village Early Learning Center, we use The Creative Curriculum®, a research-based program aligned with Florida’s Birth-to-Four Standards. We enrich this proven approach with Bible stories and daily devotionals, giving every child a strong, Christ-centered foundation.
The curriculum focuses on five core areas of development: language, math, science, social-emotional, and physical growth. Lessons start with clear objectives and are supported by resources that guide both structured activities and child-led exploration.
Learning here is hands-on and play-based. Our classrooms feature learning centers that let children explore, create, and act out lessons. Teachers post weekly, developmentally appropriate lesson plans tailored to the interests and growth of each child.
Beyond academics, we focus on essential life skills—helping children manage emotions, communicate well, build confidence, and grow strong, healthy bodies.
Reading is woven into daily routines, supporting discussion, creativity, and a lifelong love for learning.
The Creative Curriculum® also provides ongoing professional development for our teachers, equipping them to deliver exceptional instruction and see the lasting impact they have on each child.
At the Ministry Village Early Learning Center, learning is a partnership—with God, with families, and with every child’s unique journey.
